If You Can’t Explain It, You Can’t Sell It!

Most businesses struggle to clearly explain what they do. Not because they don’t understand it, but because they’re too close to it. What feels obvious internally can come across as complicated or unclear to everyone else.

And the reality is, people don’t spend time trying to figure things out. If they don’t get it quickly, they move on.

That’s usually where the problem starts.

We’re all competing for attention. Whether someone lands on your website, scrolls past your content, or sits in a meeting with you, you’ve got a small window to make things land.

If your message is too long, too technical, or just not clear, it creates friction. And friction is what causes people to switch off.

Clear communication builds confidence. It helps people understand what you do, why it matters, and whether it’s relevant to them.

This is where animated explainer videos can make a real difference.

At its simplest, it’s a short video, usually somewhere between 30 and 90 seconds, that explains your product, service, or idea in a clear and structured way.

It combines visuals, movement, and a simple narrative to guide someone through what you’re trying to say.

No jargon. No overcomplication. Just something that makes sense.

The reason animation works so well is because it allows you to control how information is delivered.

It helps you:

  • Break down complex or technical ideas into simple steps
  • Show things that would be difficult to explain with words alone
  • Hold attention for longer through movement and visuals
  • Make your message easier to remember

We see this a lot with more technical businesses.

A short animation can take that same message and deliver it in under a minute.

Once you have an explainer video, it becomes something you can use across different parts of the business:

  • Website homepage or landing pages
  • Sales presentations and pitches
  • Social media content
  • Internal communication and onboarding

A lot of the time, businesses aren’t short on content. They’re short on clarity.

If you can’t explain what you do clearly, it becomes much harder for people to buy into it.

In most cases, you just need 30 to 90 seconds of clear communication that does its job. Below are a couple of examples of some recent projects.

If that’s something you feel your business could benefit from, I’m always happy to have a conversation.
