Access Emerging Talent: Internships and Consultancy Projects From University of Birmingham Dubai

Businesses can engage with BSc and MSc students from the University of Birmingham Dubai through summer placements and consultancy projects, gaining fresh perspectives, analytical support, and early access to emerging talent across a range of business disciplines.

Interns from the University of Birmingham Dubai

Many BSc Business Management students at the University of Birmingham Dubai opt to take an extra Industrial Placement programme as part of their degree. This includes two placements during the summer months: one between Years 1 and 2, and another between Years 2 and 3. The aim is to give students genuine exposure to workplaces connected to their degree and a chance to understand how their studies translate into day‑to‑day practice.

During each placement, students contribute to ongoing work, apply the business knowledge they’re developing, and get involved in real organizational challenges. They’re encouraged to explore issues that matter to your organization or sector and to reflect on what they’re learning about themselves and the world of work. This experience helps them return to their final year with clearer insight, stronger skills, and greater confidence.

For businesses, hosting a placement student offers early access to emerging talent, fresh thinking on current challenges, and extra support for projects that benefit from dedicated attention. All areas of business as well as in-person, online or hybrid options are possible.
