Special Educational Needs Tutor

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutor with a strong background in supporting learners with Dyslexia.
This is a flexible, part-time role offering a combination of online sessions and in-person tutoring at our clinic.
You will work closely with children and young people following psychological or educational assessments, delivering targeted, evidence-based literacy interventions to support reading, writing, and spelling development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 specialist literacy intervention sessions for children with Dyslexia and related learning needs
- Plan and implement structured, evidence-based intervention programmes
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learner profiles and needs
- Provide feedback and progress updates to parents
Essential Requirements
- Relevant qualification in education, special educational needs, or a related field
- Specific training in evidence-based literacy interventions (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Toe by Toe, etc.)
- Proven experience supporting Dyslexic learners
- Strong understanding of phonological processing, reading development, and literacy difficulties
- Ability to build rapport with children and families
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable
- CDA (Community Development Authority) license or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience working within educational and/or clinical settings
