To keep the British business community informed on the current regional situation, His Majesty’s Ambassador to the UAE, Edward Hobart CMG, addressed members during a member-only online town hall hosted yesterday by the British Chamber of Commerce Dubai (BCCD) and the British Chamber of Commerce Abu Dhabi.
More than 110 BCC UAE members from Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah joined the session, held in collaboration with the British Embassy UAE. Further sessions may be arranged in the coming weeks, as needed.
BCCD CEO Katy Keenan opened the town hall by thanking the British Embassy and Consular teams, on behalf of the British business and expat community, for their outstanding work in keeping British nationals informed through regular updates.
Our thanks to His Majesty’s Ambassador for his time and availability, to Andy Barr, Director of Business and Trade, UAE, and to the wider British Embassy UAE team for their support in facilitating this session and for their ongoing supporting the British community across the region.
Members will receive a short written summary of the key points discussed. Participants were also invited to submit questions, which will be addressed in due course in coordination with the British Embassy, the Consulate team and the Department for Business and Trade.
We are also grateful to Dubai Chambers who have been in regular consultation and have issued a business continuity survey for our businesses across the international business community to share their immediate issues and concerns.
