Lush UAE Launches “Lush Forest” Initiative in the UAE

Lush UAE is proud to announce a transformative environmental collaboration with the Emirates Marine Environmental Group (EMEG) to establish the Lush Forest initiative in the UAE. As part of this ongoing project, Lush has successfully planted 1,000 trees in the Jebel Ali Marine Reserve, marking the creation of the first phase of the Lush Forest, a significant contribution to restoring local ecosystems and advancing biodiversity in the region.

This initiative aligns with Lush’s global mission of sustainability and its commitment to leaving the world "lusher than we found it." Through the Lush Forest, Lush UAE directly supports the One Billion Trees global initiative, which aims to plant and nurture trees worldwide to combat climate change, restore habitats, and enhance biodiversity.

By planting 1,000 native trees, like the Grey Mangrove, the Lush Forest initiative seeks to rehabilitate degraded landscapes and combat desertification while also helping to sequester carbon and contribute to the UAE’s ambitious sustainability goals. These trees, which are well-adapted to the arid environment of the UAE, will play a critical role in supporting local biodiversity, providing shelter for wildlife, and replenishing the natural ecosystem.

"Lush has always been about more than just making products—we’re about making a difference. Our partnership with EMEG and planting 1,000 trees is just the beginning of our ongoing commitment to regional regeneration. By creating the Lush Forest, we’re taking active steps to restore nature and support the UAE’s ecological goals," said Miche Whitehouse, Regional Brand & Digital Manager, Lush Middle East.

Lush UAE encourages other organisations and individuals to join forces in contributing to the region’s ecological goals. The Lush Forest initiative is only the beginning of Lush’s broader vision for environmental stewardship in the Middle East.

"Planting 1,000 trees is a great start, but our goal is to continue expanding the Lush Forest and inspire other companies to follow suit. This is about leaving a positive legacy for future generations and making a tangible impact on the environment," added Whitehouse.
