Every Saturday from 3-6pm, the timeless ritual is elevated by the soaring vocals of acclaimed Serbian soprano Ana Kovacevic, accompanied by a live pianist. Guests will be serenaded with beloved arias and classical favourites such as Time to Say Goodbye and Nessun Dorma, set against the elegant backdrop of the famed Peacock Alley clock. 

With performances that have graced global stages including the Opening Ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony, Kovacevic brings world-class artistry to the heart of DIFC.

Guests attending Peacock Alley’s opera edition can indulge in the traditional offerings of an afternoon tea, including special savoury curations crafted by Waldorf Astoria DIFC’s Executive Chef Gurkan Gozyilmaz including amuse-bouche of wild-caught crab and caviar, crispy pommes mousseline with Umbria black truffle, hand-rolled string potato with smoked salmon roulade, and free-range foie gras puff with parmesan sable and beetroot pearls. 

Sandwich options include tuna and aioli on brioche, as well as coronation chicken on whole grain bread, while a selection of teas include exclusive green, white, black, and herbal varieties, as well as a signature Chamomile Sour Tea welcome drink that includes chamomile tea, vanilla syrup, and lemon juice.

To satisfy guests’ sweet cravings specially curated by Executive Pastry Chef Jonathan Troin, the menu also offers a selection of treats inclusive of strawberry and rose cake, mango cheesecake, pistachio and raspberry mousse, and a varied selection of scones with clotted cream and jam.

Meet Me At The Clock Afternoon Tea runs daily from 2-6pm priced at AED 225, while the elevated Opera Edition will run every Saturday from 3-6pm launching on May 17 priced at AED 295
