I’m honoured to have been elected President of the Association of British Investigators during our recent conference in Solihull. The ABI has played a key role in my professional journey, and it’s a privilege to now lead the organisation at a time of exciting opportunity and change.

As we look ahead to 2025, my focus is on three key areas:

1. Expanding Global Influence

We’ll continue building strong international relationships and raising the ABI’s profile as a trusted authority in professional investigations.

2. Promoting Professional Standards

With our UK GDPR Code of Conduct now approved by the ICO, our next step is to promote its adoption across the wider legal sector - positioning ABI members as the benchmark for data protection, compliance, and ethical investigative support.

3. Developing Future Leaders

This year marks the launch of the ABI Ambassadors program - our commitment to inspiring and mentoring the next generation of investigators through structured guidance and professional development.

A Snapshot of Our Sector

The investigation industry is evolving fast. From fraud and due diligence to digital intelligence and litigation support, professional investigators play a vital role across legal and corporate landscapes. Technology will continue to shape how we work, but the fundamentals remain the same: discretion, integrity, and trust.
