Barclays is Celebrating 50 Years in the UAE

This week, BCCD Key Event Partner Barclays marked its 50th anniversary in the UAE.
The British bank opened its first branch in 1975, and has since then been closely intertwined with the development of the UAE into a vibrant hub for trade, tourism and a flourishing financial centre.
Today, the UAE is a key hub for the bank, connecting the Middle East with Asia, Europe, the UK and US, helping corporate, institutional and private clients access opportunities through its global network and local expertise to deliver high-value financial solutions and services.
Barclays has been a long-standing partner of BCCD for over 15 years, helping to connect and promote UK businesses in the UAE, and a key supporter of our flagship events such as our popular Speed Networking Series, Annual Golf Days, Great British Day Outs and BCCD Christmas Balls.
