Renowned Restaurateurs Kemal Barut and Coskun Uysal Unite to bring the Flavors of Anatolia to Fish Beach Taverna

A spectacular Turkish culinary experience is coming to Dubai as Lezzet Anatolian Kitchen and Fish Beach Taverna join forces for a one-month-only culinary pop-up. This highly anticipated event will see renowned Turkish-Australian chef Kemal Barut bring his bold and innovative approach to Turkish cuisine to Dubai’s shores, blending the vibrant flavors of Anatolia with the fresh, sun-kissed tastes of the Aegean coast.

Set along the serene shoreline of Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Waterpark, Fish Beach Taverna offers the perfect seaside setting for this gastronomic celebration, where diners can enjoy an unforgettable sofra filled with vibrant flavors, expertly paired wines, and a welcome cocktail— The Turkish Delight, a refreshing blend of Yeni Rakı, cherry, lime, vanilla, and pomegranate.

Born in Beypazarı, Turkey, Chef Kemal Barut discovered his love for cooking at just 13 years old, inspired by the aromatic, home-cooked meals prepared by his grandmother. The air was always filled with the scent of freshly baked gözleme, and family meals stretched for hours, where food was not just nourishment but a celebration of culture, history, and togetherness. This deep-rooted passion led him to establish Lezzet Anatolian Kitchen in Melbourne, a restaurant celebrated for its bold flavors, wood-fired meats, and refined mezze, all presented with a modern twist on Turkish culinary heritage.

Joining him is Chef Coskun Uysal, the mastermind behind Tulum Restaurant, one of Melbourne’s most acclaimed Turkish dining destinations. Uysal’s philosophy is centered on preserving the soul of traditional Anatolian cuisine while infusing it with elegance, innovation, and seasonal produce. Together, Barut and Uysal will craft an exclusive menu that honors Turkish tradition while embracing contemporary artistry.

This special lunch and dinner menu will take guests on a gastronomic voyage through Anatolia and the Aegean coast, starting with handcrafted Turkish snacks. The wood-fired pita, served with smoked date butter, introduces the meal with a rich, smoky sweetness. The barrel-aged tulum cheese, paired with chili jam, creates a perfect balance of sharp and spicy flavors. Meanwhile, the stuffed mussels, infused with spiced cinnamon-pine nut rice, showcase the depth of Anatolian coastal cuisine.

Moving into the mezze selection, guests can experience the delicate textures and bold flavors of grilled calamari, complemented by the creamy almond tarator. The sumac-cured kingfish, accompanied by rakı-pickled honey melon, delivers a refreshing contrast of citrus and aniseed. The Turkish golden egg, enriched with smoked yogurt and black truffle, offers a luxurious and indulgent take on a classic Anatolian dish.

For the main course, guests can savor slow-cooked wagyu köfte, paired with smoky eggplant salad, capturing the heart of traditional Anatolian home cooking. The grilled lobster shish, served with lemon orzo pilaf and shaved truffle, adds a Mediterranean flair with a refined touch. The highlight of the menu, Australia’s Most Expensive Kebab, is an opulent creation of aged Wagyu Adana kebab, elevated with caviar, gold leaves, bone marrow, and black truffle.

To conclude the meal, the chefs present Tavuk Göğsü, a delicate chicken and milk pudding that embodies the elegance of Ottoman desserts. Paired with lemon thyme ice cream and caramel mousse, this dish is best enjoyed with authentic Turkish coffee or tea, providing the perfect ending to an unforgettable dining experience.

This exclusive menu will be available for both lunch and dinner, offering guests the chance to savor a curated set menu for AED 250 per person (food only) or AED 425 per person with beverage pairing, perfectly designed to complement the rich and refined flavors.

Fish Beach Taverna’s breathtaking coastal setting, this one-month-only pop-up promises to transport guests to the heart of Turkey’s vibrant culinary culture—from the melodic clink of rakı glasses to the aroma of wood-fired delicacies.

A fusion of heritage, craftsmanship, and contemporary gastronomy—this is an unmissable celebration of Anatolian flavors.
