Finance Manager

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee our financial operations in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance management within UAE-based companies, extensive experience with Xero accounting software, and in-depth knowledge of importing goods into the UAE. This role is integral to ensuring the company's financial health and compliance while supporting seamless import operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

  • Develop and implement robust financial strategies to support company growth.
  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and profit/loss statements.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data for decision-making.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and propose corrective measures.

Accounting & Compliance

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations using Xero, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UAE standards.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure adherence to UAE VAT laws, including accurate filing and timely reporting.
  • Prepare and coordinate for external and internal audits.

Import & Logistics Financial Oversight

  • Manage the financial aspects of importing goods, including shipping costs, customs duties, and clearance processes.
  • Collaborate with logistics providers, customs agents, and suppliers to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Optimize import-related costs and maintain records for audit and compliance purposes.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Oversee cash flow planning to maintain liquidity and support operational needs.
  • Manage banking relationships, foreign exchange transactions, and currency risk mitigation.
  • Implement controls to safeguard financial assets and improve cash management processes.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a finance team to ensure efficient operations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Provide financial guidance to support business decisions across departments.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA, CMA, or ACCA certification is a plus).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a UAE-based company.
  • Advanced proficiency in Xero accounting software is essential.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UAE import/export regulations, customs processes, and VAT.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, trading, or logistics industries is a strong advantage.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
