Neptune's Submerge Brings the Ocean to Life for Kids Affected by Cancer: Realizing the Link between a Day of Learning, a Day of Discovery and Healing with Kidscan

On Saturday, Broughton Hall Sanctuary, surrounded by beautiful scenery, hosted a joyful family and children's event for families touched by cancer, thanks to Kidscan Children's Cancer Research. The most memorable fun activity was the VR experience Jessica and her team organized from Neptune's Submerge.

Neptune's Submerge enabled several children to swim in the ocean without getting wet, with VR headsets taking them on an enchanting deep-sea journey. Such an interactive show could depict the outlook of marine creatures and, best of all, perfect lessons about the dangers of plastics to the world's oceans and aquatic life. Many of these kids rarely get to interact with people from their home country, let alone visit that part of the world.

Jessica, the lead from Neptune's Submerge, shared her thoughts on the day: It was astonishing how quickly children locked in the mechanical aspects of the VR technology to make them fully interact with the experience. I was effectively entirely reasonable to see their faces light up. While exploring the ocean floor.

This link-up with Kidscan allowed Neptune's Submerge to have at least a chance of being meaningful to children. It was apparent that virtual reality can help treat children, as they are fully entrapped with the experience, thus neglecting the challenges of the day. As for Neptune's Submerge, this event helped to demonstrate technology and caused happiness and a desire for these children to learn.

The day was not confined to discussing virtual reality only. Other recreational activities undertaken by families other than archery were bike riding outdoors, swimming, garden games, and roasting marshmallows over the bonfire while in the beautiful scenery of the Broughton Hall Sanctuary. They all enjoyed their happy day to the fullest extent as it was fun for them and relieved families from their troubles.

As Neptune's Submerge awaits more projects involving Kidscan, they are excited to create more projects that entertain, teach, and heal. This event also reminded us how technology can spread joy, impart knowledge, and comfort kids in such a desperate situation.

It is essential that Kidscan maintains awareness for childhood cancer research, and such collaborations prove the significance of working together where significant changes can be made to children's lives.
