The last two years of school can change everything for your child's future. You may wish to consider the different routes to join a UK sixth form
Traditional Co-educational Schools
Lessons are taught together, with all subjects open to everyone. Traditional boarding schools have very strong sports facilities and an incredible choice of extra curricular activities. They enjoy a strong academic focus, with enrichment programmes that stimulate intellectual curiosity and academic breadth beyond the confines of examination criteria, whilst promoting all-round personal development and a happy and healthy lifestyle.
The world is after all co-ed!

Single Sex Schools
There is strong evidence that single sex education leads to higher academic achievement, greater diversity of subject choice, stronger self-confidence and resilience as well as enhanced career progression. Single sex schools minimise stereotyped, gender-weighted expectations as there is no such thing as a girl’s subject or a boy’s subject. The timetable, resources and individual lessons can be tailored to suit their student's learning styles, interests and hobbies

6th Form Colleges
Sixth form colleges can have greater academic flexibility with the timetable and subjects offered, allowing a greater combination of subjects to be studied together. They have a more informal environment and the student/teacher relationship is much more relaxed. With a smaller number of year groups, Sixth Form Colleges are able to offer more focused activities aimed at older students to support and enhance their subject studies.

If you are not sure which would be the best path for your child to reach their full potential we are here to offer you support and advice to help you chose the right school or college.
