SPECIALIST TRUSTEE ROLE DESCRIPTION – CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS DIRECTOR
The specific responsibilities of the Corporate Partnerships Director are:
- Support the development and implementation of Gulf for Good’s Corporate Partnerships strategy to help drive sponsorship and partnership agreements, and increase corporate awareness of Gulf for Good, its principles, vision and activities
- Review progress against Gulf for Good’s Corporate Partnerships strategy and revise activity as required, in collaboration with the Operations Team and specifically the Partnerships, Fundraising & Sponsorship Manager
- Ensure that corporate partnerships, sponsorship and all agreements and relationships are managed in accordance with Gulf for Good’s guidelines and values, including the practice of due diligence with all associated organisations
- Provide support to the Partnerships, Fundraising & Sponsorship Manager to present relevant corporate partnership and sponsorship proposals to the Board for approval
- Leverage own network and develop new contacts to establish new sponsorship and partnership relationships, supporting the Corporate Partnerships strategy
- Assist in the ongoing management of existing sponsorship and partnership relationships
- Be accessible, supportive and visible to established and new corporate partners by (for example) participating in corporate hikes and training and supporting the planning of corporate challenges
- Be a trusted advisor to the Operations Team, providing specific support and guidance to the Partnerships, Fundraising & Sponsorship Manager
- Develop and maintain strategic networks of people, organisations and institutions with similar or complimentary interests to Gulf for Good, establishing ways of working together to promote and improve Gulf for Good
- Regularly report to the board on corporate partnership events, trends and concerns
- Provide approvals when required, and in a timely manner, for requests actioned by the Operations team or Chairperson
- Work with other Directors in achieving the organisation’s mission
- Continually act as an Ambassador of Gulf for Good
- Attend Gulf for Good events throughout the year
- Board members are expected to attend all of the monthly board meetings in a twelve-month rolling period (in person or online). Failure to attend at least two-thirds of meetings shall trigger a formal review of the member’s position on the board
This is a voluntary role with no financial remuneration. Board Directors are requested to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per month and remain on the Board for at least one year.
