Gulf for Good’s mission is to help underprivileged children around the world.

Every year during Ramadan we choose a charity project where we can make the most impact. As we are already supporting the Sparkle Foundation through a volunteering challenge and other key events this year, we felt this was another great opportunity to highlight their work and bring much needed funds their way.

Malawi is the fourth poorest country in the world and the Sparkle Foundation’s work includes providing food for the 300 orphans and vulnerable children in their care, every day. Our key project for this year is to fund a farm for them, which will help them to reduce their operating costs and enable them to grow their own food. We aim to raise 100,000 AED to complete this project. Not only will this farm mean they can feed themselves, it will be used as a model for the surrounding community to teach key farming skills.

To fulfill our promise we are also coordinating our efforts with our sister social enterprise ‘Thrift for Good’, which was established in February 2020 with a mission to rehome preloved clothing items to reduce waste and help children around the world. It's flagship store is in the Galleria Mall on the Palm. In November 2021 a second store was opened in Times Square.
