John Fitzpatrick- Managing Director, EmiraTalent

1. What brought you to Dubai?

 Although a new member to BBG, John is no stranger to the sunny shores of the UAE. He arrived and settled in the region with his family some 12+ years ago, initially as a Business Development Manager for a Global recruitment and staffing organization. Since then, he's earned his veteran recruitment stripes by supplying some great talent, at all levels to many of the Gulf's leading employers. This ultimately led to the formation of EmiraTalent DMCC.

2. Who is your ideal client?

John's ideal client is one who likes to keep open communication, has spent time establishing what their correct candidate looks/feels like, or alternatively is open to taking the journey of discovery with their firm! As a recruitment partner that styles its business on consultative, referral and recommendation driven searches, EmiraTalent is acutely aware, clients come to them to be advised and to attract talent they can't find themselves, which suits their model perfectly.

3. What business advice would you give your younger self?

The first piece of advice John would give his younger self would be to listen and listen again. He said "I'm pretty sure the 80/20 rule did exist back in the day of large mobile phones and questionable paisley ties but it was something which didn't sink in until later in life!" He also believes transparency in all business dealings is of equal importance and that principle resonates with every member of his organisation.

4. What do you look to achieve through your BBG Membership?
