Fayez Khouri
I am an English-qualified lawyer with more than 26 years’ international experience in corporate, real estate and asset finance law, gained in both leading private practice and senior in-house roles. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with C-suite executives and Boards, advising on complex transactions, major projects and strategic business decisions across the UK and the Gulf.
I am currently Chief Legal Counsel at RAK Properties, based between Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai, and previously led the Legal team at Arada, working on large developments in Sharjah and Dubai. I have also served as Head of Legal at PwC Middle East, where I was recognised in the Legal 500 Middle East General Counsel Power List, and at Booz & Company, the US-based management consultancy. Earlier in my career, I worked with leading international law firms including Hogan Lovells Cadwalader in London, and Al Tamimi & Company in Dubai, Doha and Kuwait.
My international background extends beyond law. I studied International Relations at the London School of Economics, Boston College and Georgetown University before obtaining my law degree from the College of Law in London. I am a member of the Law Society of England & Wales and serve on the Board of Inaash, a Lebanese social enterprise empowering refugee women and supporting traditional artisanship.
Having spent half of my life in the UK and the other half in the Arab region, I am equally comfortable communicating in Arabic and English. I have had the privilege of working across cultures and forging trusted relationships throughout the region. I know how to connect people and create opportunities that enable BCCD members to build valuable relationships, access practical support and heighten their impact.
My association with the BCCD dates back to 2011, when I served on the Board as Legal Director of the then British Business Group. Now returning to the Board, I bring fresh perspective, diversity, commercial judgement, deep community relationships and a strong understanding of British and Gulf business cultures. I look forward to helping strengthen our Chamber and ensure it remains a leading voice for British business.
