BCCD Members Attend Exclusive UUBC Virtual Briefing with UK and UAE Ambassadors

BCCD members this week had the opportunity to join an exclusive UK and UAE Ambassadors Virtual Briefing hosted by the UAE-UK Business Council.

Guest speakers included His Majesty’s Ambassador to the UAE Edward Hobart, His Excellency Mansoor Abulhoul, the UAE Ambassador to the UK, and His Excellency Badr Jafar, the UAE Special Envoy for Business and Philanthropy.

Over 145 BCCD members registered for the session, which provided constructive reassurance to UK and UAE businesses, investors and professionals, outlining the UAE’s approach to resilience and its handling of recent tensions, underpinned by long-standing economic strength and infrastructure.

The depth of the UK-UAE partnership was a consistent theme, with reference to defence cooperation, intelligence sharing, regional security, and bilateral trade exceeding £25 billion annually.

For businesses, a key message for the business community was to maintain operational continuity, reinforce supply chain stability and signal confidence. Constructive, visible community leadership will continue to be critical in setting the tone across the wider business network.

We are grateful to Bradley Jones, Executive Director of the UK-UAE Business Council (UUBC) and his entire team for his coordination of this important bilateral relations briefing for the wider British business community.
