Ensuring Operational Resilience: Maintaining Critical Water Management Systems Across the UAE
Date Posted:Mon, 16th Mar 2026
At Khansaheb Sykes we operate under a structured business continuity framework designed to ensure that critical water management systems remain operational. Pumping and dewatering systems are often essential to project safety and continuity, so maintaining readiness, redundancy and rapid response capability is key.
From an operational perspective, this means maintaining contingency equipment, standby pumps and backup power where required, along with ensuring our engineers and field technicians operate in structured shifts so support is available across multiple sites when needed.
We also maintain clear operational visibility across our workforce through a daily employee register, allowing us to track where teams are deployed as project locations change frequently. In addition, we have established dedicated internal communication channels, including an emergency WhatsApp group, to allow rapid escalation of any urgent operational, safety or customer related issues.
Given the current environment and Ramadan working hours, we are also ensuring our field teams are supported appropriately while working within official guidelines, including providing provisions to help sustain teams working extended operational shifts. Alongside this, relevant office teams continue to operate under flexible and remote working arrangements to support overall business continuity.
Importantly, we work closely with RTA, Dubai Municipality, and other authorities across the UAE, maintaining contingency pumping and water management plans. Equipment is either deployed on standby at critical locations or reserved within our facilities, allowing us to respond rapidly to infrastructure requirements across the country from Abu Dhabi through to Fujairah at short notice. As a result, Khansaheb Sykes remains fully operational, continuing to support infrastructure, utilities and construction projects across the UAE while adhering fully to all guidance issued by the authorities.
